Privacy Policy
This page says what dlogs collects, why, and who else handles it. The detail of what is read from your code host is on Data handling.
Data we collect
- Your account: your work email, your name if you give it, the workspace you belong to and your role in it.
- Your team's decisions and proposals, and the pull-request text they were found in.
- Usage records: which parts of the product and API were used, and the repository name and pull request number an event referred to.
- On this website: page views and button clicks, through Google Analytics and PostHog. Both may set cookies.
How we use data
- To run the product: find decisions, store them, and serve them to your team and its coding agents.
- To keep the service secure and to find and fix faults.
- To understand how this website is used.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for advertising.
Who else handles data
We share data only with the companies needed to run the service, and when the law requires it.
- OpenAI: reads pull-request text to propose decisions, and decision text and search queries to make search work. Secrets are redacted before anything is sent.
- Railway: hosts the dlogs API and database.
- Vercel: hosts this website and the web app.
- Resend: sends sign-in codes and invitations by email.
- Google Analytics and PostHog: usage of this website only.
Data retention
- Decisions are kept until you ask us to delete them. They are the product.
- Usage records are kept for up to 90 days.
- Events received from your code host are stripped of secrets and discarded once processed. A delivery that failed is kept for up to 7 days so it can be retried.
We also retain data when required for security or legal obligations.
Deletion and your rights
You can ask us to delete your whole workspace. We remove every row that belongs to it and send you a receipt listing what was removed. Database backups age out after that. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access or correct your personal data, subject to legal and operational constraints.
